Become a Registered User

Being a Registered user lets you do a bunch of things.

• You can post topics/messages and reply to others
• verify your email address so that notifications of events can be sent. one of these events could be if someone did a reply to your topic posting. you do not have to check your topics- you will be notified.
• get permissions to view various restricted categories. (some categories are hidden until you have permission to view them).

To register:

• the upper right of your screen has an icon of a right arrow. Underneath that icon is a Person icon and + sign. A mouseover on the icon tells you its a Register icon.
• click the Register icon.
• Enter a username and password
• click Register.
  You will then be asked to put in your email address.
  Next, you MUST click the 2 permission boxes. (else you will not be registered).
• click Submit.
  Thats it!

The administrator of the Museum site will process your request to Register. You will be sent a confirmation to the email address you provided. If there is a problem, email support@carolinehistory.online for a resolution.

To Get Notifications of Changes:

super nice feature is getting email notifications of changes on a Topic that you are interested. To activate, simply look at the Topic of interest, click the 'Not Watching' icon. and select Watching. you will get email notiifcations of any changes to this topic.
